The George Washington High School Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, organized to support the marching and concert bands of George Washington High School in Charleston, WV.
It costs over $35,000 to run our band program each year. The money we raise helps with band camp cost, box truck rentals to transport our instruments to away games, competitions and concerts, field maintenance and supplies, flag and color guard supplies, program printing, awards for end of the year banquet, band camp staff pay, concert venue rentals, coach bus rentals for competitions, and much more. We have multiple ways for you to become involved and help us raise the money for the band including volunteering to work at the concession stand, helping with the fruit sale and gas card raffle, purchasing pictures, donating items and working the rummage sale, helping with the spaghetti dinner and donating items for the spaghetti dinner raffle, helping your child reach out to sponsors for the march-a-thon, purchasing an advertisement in our Winter and Spring concert programs, and helping us obtain business partners to help sponsor the band t-shirt for this year. We also need chaperones to help with the away games and volunteers to help make lunches to take to away-performances. It can seem a little overwhelming at first, but if all of our families pitch in it is quite manageable.
Another way you can support the band is by participating with us in the Kroger Rewards Program
